This past month I have made improvements to Marietta’s Dream to make the cabin more comfortable for my guest.
The Game Room has been insulated and now has its own air conditioning equipment and thermostat to keep you cool in the Summer and warm in the Winter making the Game room truly an all season room.
The Second Floor Bedroom has its own air conditioning unit and thermostat now, as well, nothing like a comfortable bedroom to get a good nights sleep.
Living area and First Bedroom were not left out either, with a new Furnace and Heat Pump installed for greater efficiency and personal comfort for my guest and their family and friends when entertaining.
I would be remiss not give a “Well Done” to the very professional, local, contractors who did the work. The carpentry was conducted by Bobby Hayes, owner of Hayes Maintenance & Home Improvements, Seymour, TN and the HVAC team was led by Chris Melacon, owner of Aire Today, Kodak, TN. As a Master Electrician, of over 30 years experience, I can tell you, nobody can go wrong hiring these guys if you want professional, quality work done.
For my own part, for your safety, I replaced all outlets with Tamper Resistant and brought the associated wiring up to Code
But, enough about work! Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are up and running with enough activity to make everyone in the family happy. Starting next month Dolly’s “Dixie Stampede” starts going 7 days a week. Don’t disappoint yourself and miss it.
Into history? then try the Titanic Museum. Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge was rated by The History Channel as one of the top 10 museums in the world.
Like to imbibe? Just a wee dram perhaps? There are several Distilleries in Sevier County where you can have a taste of Moonshine, if the spirit moves you so. Don’t forget that wineries are coming of age in these mountains and hills as well. I have tried several, and I can attest that some are very good and worth trying and buying. After a full day of activity, nothing like a relaxing set in the Hot Tub with a glass of your favorite wine or shine. What’s that you say? Yes. Beer and Stout is a perfect drink as well
Hopefully this year, maybe a long lost kinsman from France and the Republic of Ireland or Newtownstewart, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland will stay with us and I can add the flag of France and Ireland to Marietta’s Dream website.
