161201095343-fire-statute-jesus-exlarge-169The wildfires are finally out! But, it has left a lot of destruction behind, homes, businesses, injuries and, most grievously, lost lives.

Many of these folks have lost everything. They have started to rebuild. To set things right, to rebuild their homes, businesses, and jobs so that they can once more take care of themselves and their families. To do this, they need one thing. They need our help! Recently I have made inquiries about how to assist the families affected by the devastating fires in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

Here are some of the ways, that’s YOU and ME, to assist the people. Don’t be a talker, talk is cheap. Be a person of consequence, a  person of action. Be a doer! Listed below are several ways you can be a person who can hold their head high and say, ” When the call went out and I was needed, I took action, I helped!” Remember, not everyone has the ability or the requirement to run into a burning building. Some must stay behind the lines to give aid and support to the victims, to those who escaped the inferno with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Dolly Parton, the grand lady she is, shall conduct a telethon next Tuesday on, December 13th at 8 PM ET for Smoky Mountains Rise: A Benefit For The My People Fund. She’ll be joined by her friends Reba McEntire, Alison Krauss, Kenny Rogers and many more as they come together to support this cause. You can tune in at Great American Country, RFD-TV, axs, The Heartland Network or right here on Facebook LIVE!

You can search the web, as well, to find other avenues to assist the people who need our help

If you would like to help this family, you can send gift cards from Kroger, Walmart, Penny’s, Visa and Cracker Barrel. They need everything from clothes to tooth brushes and household items.

They have temporary housing until December 23. The children are all under the age of 13.

Please mail gift cards to:
